A Possible Remedy: Start STEM Early

Retention through better preparation: scientific
competencies of students in high school, then college.
One approach: providing students hand-on training to
apply classroom knowledge to real-world problems.
Students behave as scientists, work with scientists and
strengthen STEM readiness.
Building budding astronomers throughout our rural
regions.
