Park Street Elementary School Second Practicum
Mar. 2015 May 2015
Successfully completed an 8-week practicum at Park Street Elementary School in
a Grade 4 classroom. Took on full-time teaching for 7 of the 8 weeks. Taught literacy,
math, art, science, and learning in depth (LiD). Involved in flexible groupings for math
and guided reading. Actively participated in Professional Learning Communities (PLC),
Professional Development, and staff meetings. Created lessons to engage students in
active learning. Collaborated with my cooperating teacher and other teachers in the
school.
New Maryland Elementary School First Practicum
Nov. 2014 Dec. 2014
Successfully completed my first 7-week practicum at New Maryland Elementary
School in a Kindergarten classroom. Took on full-time teaching for 5 of the 7 weeks. I
taught numeracy, literacy, art, and social studies (You and Your World). I created lessons
to actively engage my students in discovery and reach my diverse learners. Collaborated
with my cooperating teacher and the other kindergarten teachers. Participated in
Professional Development and staff meetings. Volunteered in knitting club, school
events, and kindergarten registration.

TEACHING RELATED EXPERIENCE:


Coach Devon Middle School Cheerleading
2014-Present
Co-coaching a cheerleading team. Teach a routine for seasonal competitions.
Have to present myself as approachable for the athletes if they have any troubles or
questions. Help and teach athletes different skills in order to safely progress through the
stages in cheerleading.
WORK EXPERIENCE:

Responsibilities include training new staff on drinks and cash, preparing food and
drink, counting tills at the beginning and end of shifts, ensure product is well stocked and
organized, ensure cleanliness and order, and deliver a friendly and efficient customer
service to ensure customer satisfaction and enjoyment.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE:
Participant in Hero Holiday (now Live Different)
2008 & 2009
Travelled to the Dominican Republic for two summers for 2 weeks. Each
summer I participated in building projects and interacted with the local families.
Volunteered in the local orphanages and taught the children basic reading and mathematic
skills. Delivering necessities to families in the communities and ensuring they had a safe
place to stay. Was involved in the events and games organized for families and children
to participate in.
