Reasons identified for Exodus at Infosys Employees having relatively high working hours i.e9.25 Hrs/day at Infosys V/s 8.8 Hrs/Day Industry Average. Relatively Low rates of packages compared to similar industry rivals. Rigid work hours to be clocked in by employees. Employees have to undergo a stressful certification process to achieve promotion. Emphasis more on passing the exams rather than learning. Very long period (12-15 yrs) taken to achieve higher level promotion at Infosys. Recommendations to Avoid Exodus Adopt a flexible work timings and offer 24x7 work hour system to employees. Devise a purely target based Performance Management System. Create a flexible certification process which is more need based system which creates promotion opportunities and reduces stress levels. Convert Infosys certification process into a POD and use it to improve employee satisfaction levels.
