Exodus at Infosys
 Employees having relatively high working hours
i.e9.25 Hrs/day at Infosys V/s 8.8 Hrs/Day
Industry Average.
 Relatively Low rates of packages compared to
similar industry rivals.
 Rigid work hours to be clocked in by employees.
 Employees have to undergo a stressful
certification process to achieve promotion.
 Emphasis more on passing the exams rather than
learning.
 Very long period (12-15 yrs) taken to achieve
higher level promotion at Infosys.
Recommendations to Avoid
Exodus
 Adopt a flexible work timings and offer
24x7 work hour system to employees.
 Devise a purely target based Performance
Management System.
 Create a flexible certification process
which is more need based system which
creates promotion opportunities and
reduces stress levels.
 Convert Infosys certification process into a
POD and use it to improve employee
satisfaction levels.
