The Faculty of Nursing Sciences at Universit Laval, Quebec City,


Canada and the unit for Philosophical Nursing Research (uPNR),
University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, in association with the
International Philosophy of Nursing Society (IPONS), are pleased to
announce a distinctive conference that brings together for the first
time the 20th Annual International Philosophy of Nursing
Conference and the 12th Philosophy in the Nurses World Conference
in a unique joint event that will provide opportunities for discussing
the past and current state as well as future contributions of
philosophy and critical theory to the discipline and practice of nursing.

QUBEC - CANADA

The theme Revisiting the roots of nursing philosophy and critical


theory: Past, present, and future offers scope for reflection on the
diverse critical theories and philosophies, authors and texts that have,
do, and will shape understandings about some fundaments of nursing
its ontology, epistemology, politics, and ethics and about the
practices that become established in nursing. The conference will be
based on three sub-themes: A World of Thinkers and Their Works; A
World of Positions; and A World in Becoming.

clairer sur les fondements des soins infirmiers ontologiques,
pistmologiques, politiques ou thiques, ainsi que sur les pratiques
infirmires dj tablies. Cette confrence sera base sur trois thmes:
Un monde de Penseurs et leurs Travaux; Un monde de Positions et de
Visions; et Un monde en Devenir. Lappel de soumission des rsums
