Samantha is a biodiversity manager at the National
Biodiversity Centre at the National Parks Board. She
graduated from NUS with a Masters in 2013, with her
thesis on rocky shore and seawall ecology. Her current
job involves managing biodiversity research permits in
Singapore, and promoting nature related citizen science
participation. She is running several citizen science
programmes under the Community in Nature initiative,
such as the NParks Garden Bird Count, Marine Ecotoxicity and Biomonitoring Programme, and Nature Way
monitoring.
Veera is a pioneer of the maker movement in Singapore
and currently leads the Sustainable Living Lab (SL2); a
technology driven social innovation lab that engages in
purposeful making to achieve social, environmental and
economic sustainability goals. He is also a Director at
OneMaker Group (OMG); a Maker ecosystem developer
in Asia.
Sven Yeo is the Co-Founder and CEO of BioMachines. He
graduated from NTU with a Bachelor of Biological
Sciences and is passionate about entrepreneurship and
technology. In 3 years, his team raised half a million of
seed funding, developed their own technology platform,
became profitable and exceeded a million in sales last
year. Whenever he is able to escape from work, he hides
in his dark room completing quests and slaying
monsters. He is currently working on a scaling plan for
the company.
A senior member of Esri Singapore's geospatial
consulting team, Anjusha has over 12 years experience
envisioning and implementing innovative geospatial
solutions ranging from client-server, web and mobile
technologies. Anjusha has held technical and project
management roles across various sectors such as
environment, utilities and community development. As
Esri Singapores Chief Technology Strategist, she
identifies core technologies, solutions and the
development of skill sets that are of strategic
importance to the growth of the geospatial community.
