 INTRODUCTION:
The Philippines is rich in
different arts like painting, sculpture,
molding, and photography. Some
ethnic people contributed some
dances in our country and one of this
is the Folk dance. The development
of Philippine Folkdance now a days
has grown faster.We can see now
that Filipino compete in other
countries, our Mada’am President
Gloria Macapagal Arroyo helps alot
to develop and improve the skills and
movements .Folk dance help to
present the culture of the Philippine.
 Folk dance is participation dance
displaying the characteristics and
temperament of Filipino people.
Although they are now performed for
pleasure in cities it is originally
considered a country dances. Folk
dance are perminisment of the
originally fertility rite from which they
drive.
The purpose of this paper is to
show the traditional dance of the
Philippines and to return the beliefs
of the people that they need to
support and help the government to
improve our country today are need
to maintain tradition because we
need to help the government to grow.

This paper will dicuss those people

dancing modern dance and to learn
and to maintain the improve quality
and not to abandoned/left the
traditions, because folk dance is very
important to our tradition and culture.
We need to prevent it and pass to
next generation.
