About Me

I am married and have two children. My son lives and works in Melbourne while
my daughter is completing a childrens services diploma course with Bendigo
TAFE. My husband and I have been married for 27 years. We live in the small
town of Lockington, where we moved to from Croydon North in the eastern
suburbs of Melbourne in 2011. Our property is a small farm on which we run a
few sheep, chickens, ducks and cows along with our pet dogs and cats. We have
enjoyed our tree change from the rat race of Melbourne.
I began studying my Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Arts degree
as a mature age student. When we relocated to country Victoria I had to
discontinue the education portion of my studies as these were not available as
an Off-campus student. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011 and
commenced my Master of Teaching degree in 2012 which has provided me with
dual accreditation, primary/secondary. I have thoroughly enjoyed my studies and
the experiences it has provided me with.
For the past six months I have worked at East Loddon P-12 College as dual role
staff member undertaking the role of Year 6 teacher and also Education Support
staff member. My education support time is spent as an integration aide assisting
many students and also completing a range of administrative duties that
contribute to the running of the college. Prior to this role, I have spent more than
20 years in the accounts field as a book-keeper and office manager.
When I have the time, I have a few hobbies that I really enjoy. I love working on
family tree research, scrapbooking, and spending time with my family. Our family
particularly enjoys spending time at Greens Lake with our boat during the
warmer months. I am also very passionate about our local football/netball club
where my daughter plays. I take a very active role in the club, contributing in
many different capacities which currently sees me as Club Vice President and
head of our netball operations.
