Special Cross-Cultural Considerations: Include here anything relevant to culture that you will either
incorporate as part of your lesson or that you need to be attuned to in terms of your students background
to ensure a lesson that is culturally responsive.
Students may not have been exposed to the Olympics, so general background and knowledge of the
event may need to be reviewed so every student is prepared to participate. The different sports
included in the Olympics and the action verbs that describe how to play them will be reexamined in the
introduction of the lesson so each student has an even establishment of comprehension before the
activity begins.

Summative Assessment

(Describe the ways in which you plan to determine whether or not students achieved the content and
language objectives for the lesson. Be specific in terms of not only what the students will do to demonstrate their knowledge and
skills, but how you will evaluate what they produce.):

Each activity is self-contained, as the assessing of the students learning is incorporated into the
lesson itself. The understanding of the Olympic vocabulary words is required to participate in the
game, and the evaluation of the students comprehension will be conclusively tested at the end of
class by the reception of class-wide verbal responses to review questions.
