Higher strain hardening exponent values enhance the flow stress.

Similarly, flow
stress is
enhanced with increase in strain rate during a plastic deformation process.
Effect of strain rate on flow stress becomes more pronounced at higher temperatu
res.
AT higher temperatures [hot working], strain hardening may not have ef
fect on flow
stress. However, during cold working effect of strain on flow stress cannot be n
eglected.
In such cases, average flow stress can be determined between two given strains.
