Plan for New Jersey New Jersey State, we realized that we need to develop the
implement technology into our curriculum next years
In a digital world, students need to learn to use the tools to master the learning
skills that are essential to everyday life and workplace productivity. This
proficiency is known as ICT (information and communication technologies)
literacy, defined by the Program for International Student Assessment as the
interest, attitude and ability of individuals to appropriately use digital technology
and communication tools to access, manage, integrate and evaluate information;
construct new knowledge; and communicate with others in order to participate
effectively in society. This definition goes far beyond a narrow technical
competency, which is a relatively low-level skill, to including higher-level skills,
critical thinking and intelligent, creative and ethical use of technology. A

The connection between the article and the plans goals is that the master of the
learning skills are needed to learn by the students to use digital technology and
communication tools.
Administrators, head of IT department and some core teachers of our school
visited other charter and public schools. They shared their observations and best
practices in the meetings.
Our teachers are able to use laptops, projectors, printers, smart boards, and Chrome
Books for daily base.
2. How are hardware and software currently being used in
classrooms at each grade level and in each content area?
All grade level students are using computer in the lab. Chromebook as
hardwares.
There are
42 laptops,
25 projectors,
2 main printers,
22 smart boards,
400 Chromebooks.

1. Is technology currently available to all students?
Yes, it is. Technology currently available for all students.
2. Do all student groups have equaled and appropriate access to the available
Technology?
There are 23 desktop computers in the computer lab for all grade level students, and also
we have 400 student chrome books for all students to use them in their core subjects. All
students have equal access to technology and also all subject teachers are able to use
technology for their classes.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1) Are targets for improvement in student achievement being met?
Yes, targets for improvement in student achievements will be met. The plan reaches clear
goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using technology to support
the LEA's curriculum goals and academic content standards to improve learning.
2) How are/will Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) being used to ensure the
quality and implementation of the plan?
Weekly regular PLC meetings are held by the department heads and the teachers. During
these meeting, they discuss how to use technological tools efficiently while the preparing
lesson plans, implementing the programs in computers, chrome books and iPads during
the classes and evaluating them.

safety instruction?
Paterson Art & Science Charter School, using iBoss Enterprise Web Filters to provide
URL filtering including HTTPS traffic.

Teachers will participate in a yearly training on effectively using the New Jersey
Education Assiciation s Digital citizenship: responsible technology use in the classroom

to technology use."
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

1) What indicators of success will be used to evaluate whether implementation of the

There are couple way to that school do. Posting it school web page and press releasing it.
Recognizing that at the school events and post it school newsletter paper as well.
2) How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is the responsible?
The data will be collected 4 times a year as after the every quarter and fourth quarter
before school closes at the end of the year. Dean of Academics and IT manager will be
responsible to collect the data and report to parents and school director, board of trustees.
