Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen will join AT&T officials to educate local high
school graduates on digital privacy issues and the importance of Internet safety.
For better and for worse, our digital footprints are more visible now than ever before.
Whether its credit card numbers typed into an e-commerce website, bank statements sent
via email, or spontaneous Tweets composed in the middle of the night, any information
provided over the Internet could potentially be shared with anybody with access to a
computer.
AT&T Connecticut President John Emra and Attorney General Jepsen will speak on this
digital footprint issue as it relates to college students. The discussion will range from the
impact social media activity may have on relationships or future careers to online data
privacy tips for first-time credit card holders.
The students attending the seminar are part of Connecticuts Summer Bridge Program, a sixweek program that helps ensure local high school graduates will successfully transition to life
in college. The speaking program will conclude with an interactive Q&A session.
