This course is designed as an overall survey to study motion, forces, energy, matter, heat, sound, light, and the composition of
atoms.

Expectations for Academic Success


1)Be on time for class
2)Be prepared by bring all materials for class(e.g.
pencil, paper, binder)
3)Read daily and Ask questions
4)During class discussions, the student must be
attentive and participate.
5)Proof read written assignments and edit
meaningfully
6)Review multiple sources of information
7)Each student is expected to do his or her own
work.
8)Challenge yourself to continuously improve.
9)Do not abuse computer use.

Students work area must be cleaned
before being
dismissed.
Attendance and Makeup Work
It is extremely important that students attend class. Frequent
absences cause low grades and most importantly, lost
knowledge. If a student must miss class, it is his/her
responsibility to find out missed work and make it up.

Failure to show up for a scheduled makes up session without


prior notification will result in a zero.

The teacher reserves the right to request a change in makeup


time as unexpected meetings and conferences may arise.

If an assignment is due the day you are absent, you are


expected to turn it in the day you return.

5.

Exams are announced well in advance therefore the


student is expected to take the exam if present in class on
exam day.
All make up work is to be completed in compliance with
school policy.

Homework
Homework will be assigned as needed. Unfinished
classroom assignments are always due the next day, or
according to your online semester schedule.. In addition to
homework assignments, students should study notes every
night.

A PBIS classroom matrix will be posted in the classroom
which lists the academic and behavioral expectations for my
classroom.
Rewards will be given for remaining in compliance with
school and classroom expectations. See classroom matrix
below.
