Are You There?
Are you there? Oh, of course
youre not. You have never
been there. If you truly existed,
why didnt you support me
through my predicaments
that have caused me sorrow,
pain, anger, and loneliness?
To some, ignorant fools,
this is the same gift
that you gave the two lovers
who met in the enchanted garden.
Why punish an innocent fawn
who had no clue about the awesome
knowledge compacted
into that single piece of fruit?
You, sick and twisted man,
have no business deciding the earths
destiny and design. Damning
us to suffer war, poverty, and famine,
damn you. Damn you!
I have tried to reason
How you could exist.
Science cannot prove nor disprove
your authority. From what I heard
from Francis and Moses,
you gave me my brain, body, and soul.
Gave me grace, emotion, and life.
However, from what I have observed,
this is not true.
I have worked, and worked, and worked
my ass off to grow this brain,
maintain this body,
and keep this soul in a state
of personal purity.
