Telepresence: Meeting without traveling

Question #1:
One of the limitations it would be the cost, according to the CEO of Cisco he said that not every
enterprise has the money to afford that technology. It would be also that is needed a special
infrastructure.
The telepresence definitely will be a substitute in the future for face to face meetings, maybe at
first many people or firms wont be able to afford it, but this technology is going to be too
necessary that the price or the cost to earn it, would decrease.

Verbal communication is so important.

It is efficient in terms of understanding ideas.
You can focus a 100% in the person.
The corporal language it is important to reach the attention of the attendants of the
meeting.

Considering the first case of hiring a person, the telepresence will help to the interviewer and
the other person to save time, money and resources from moving to one place to another. It also
will help for the attendant to dont be nervous and got more trust at the time of the interview.
In the working team, the telepresence will be useful in the sense that the supervisors or the
leaders of the team would administrate in a good way time, and also for the other members, they
can work from other places, for example; one employee works at the human resources
department and the other in the operations or in another department, having this technology
people wont waste time in meeting or getting together in a specific place at the company.
Question #2:
Business benefits of telepresence:

Decrease the cost of traveling

Take decisions more fast
Bringing people together
Transform the business
Be more ecologic (green technology)

Benefit of Hologram:

Innovate the way of how people see businesses

Green technology is used
Bring people together to a virtual table

Question #5:
In my opinion, this technology would be useful for the big marketing campaigns. For example,
banners, in the case of some clothes shops instead of have a dummy or a model they can use a
hologram for showing their products.
Also in a product presentation it would be useful for watching the number of features or uses
that have a product. For example, if a person wants to buy the ultimate model of a laptop the
firm can use telepresence to describe the way how it works, and all the new upgrades that this
system will have.
