The bolded items in this list refer to skills that I have utilized in multiple positions over the course
of my undergraduate career. Last year, I became actively involved in my sorority, Delta Gamma, by
becoming Vice President of Finance. Through this position I created the sorority budget and
managed a large monetary account. I decided what the most responsible ways to use our money
were and I made sure to stay within the budget. I also collected money from members through dues
and fees and I had to motivate people in a positive way to pay their sorority bills on time. As Vice
President of Finance, I enforced the rules and regulations by holding individuals accountable for
when they did not pay on time.
This past summer I had an internship at Eddie Bauer that was project-based. I was on a team with
two other people and we had to create a new and creative way to acquire new customers. We had a
strict timeline of nine weeks, so we began with gathering information about Eddie Bauers target
customers. Our team had to collaborate and brainstorm different ideas as well as listen to each
other, be enthusiastic, and stay focused under stress. Our team developed and executed a plan by
using social media campaigns to target new customers and with this idea, we ran multiple tests. We
analyzed the data to help us understand what was successful in each test. At the end of the
internship, our team presented to about 500 Eddie Bauer associates and executives. We reported
the results of our project and our recommendations for social media campaigns moving forward.
