Minutes for myCMU Go Mobile Team Meeting

We briefly reviewed the proposal and discussed Mr.


Lewis comments.
Jessica Travlos of CMUs Marketing department gave
their consent to utilize CMU logo, font and other
formatting. In exchange, they would like to see a
copy of the final document. No one seems to have an
issue (all polled earlier). Tammie sent a thank you
note to Jessica.
Tammie presented the two preferred fonts; Apollo and
Humanist 521. Apollo cost $35 and Humanist was
free. The link to download Humanist 521 regular is
available on the group site. Please download and use
for your sections of the guide.
We decided not to include a Table of Contents page in
the document since we will be making this a pdf with
bookmarks available in the left margin. Level tags will
need to be used to activate the bookmarks.

A sample wireframe was quickly created to
demonstrate the title page, site map, and format for
instructions. It is available from the Shared
Documents page. The site map will contain hyperlinks
so they can go straight to that section. Options that
the school is not using will be grayed out in the site
map with a note that they may be available in the
future. How-to instructions will need to start at the
highest menu level (see examples).
All instructions need to be completed by Thursday
evening and the file uploaded to the group site. This
way it can be compiled, hyperlinks in the map
completed and back to the group for review. See
section assignments below.

Usability tests: One class at the Sedalia site has
agreed to be our observed lab group with
instructions. Amanda is finalizing negotiations on our
observable lab group without instructions. We need to
identify about 5 other students to perform a field test
with instructions. All test subjects will need to have a
valid CMU login and be a student. The faculty role will
no doubt have different options.

Ashely: My Calendar, Register for Classes and subsections, My Transcripts and Grades & Transcripts.

Icon for the section is used to show what it goes with,
Humanist 521 San14pt font, numbered list for steps,
start at the initial menu, and give a description of what
they will find when they get there. If additional
instructions are needed, add those like be sure to pick a
term.
