We have been asked on the ZHE fanpage
and what should be the religious verdict for
a person who supports the defender of a
Kazab ? The question is being reproduced
here:
Q: ek shakhs yousuf kazzab ko defend karta
hai aur kehta hai k yousuf kazzab nay
nabuwwat ka dawah nahi kya tha..lekin solid
proves hain k yousf ek kazzab tha,, ub us
shaks k followers jo hian jo sirf us shakhs k
alfaz pur yaqeen kur k kehtay hian k woh
shaks (ZH) sahi hai..
aisey followers k baray mien islami shariah
ka kya hukum hai?
kya un ko bhi apna tajdeeday emaan karna
and tajdeed-e-nikah karna hoga (after
knowing the truth)???
please jawab authentic hona chahye,, from
authentic scholars inshallah..
I am not an Islamic scholar and a competent
authority to give verdict on this situation.
However, I would try to explain from
history, How Sahaba RA dealt with a
Kazab ?
Before the death of Prophet Muhammad
SAW, he prepared an army to be sent to
Syria under the command of Usama bin
Zaid bin Harsah RA. The army was camped
outside Medina, when it got the news of the
death of Prophet Muhammad SAW. The
wikipedia article narrates this event as
follows:
Although Usamah was the son of a freed
slave, and only twenty years of age, he
was appointed by the Prophet as the
commander of the army sent to Sham.
This army was the second Muslim army to
encounter the Romans. Among the
prominent Sahabah in the army were
future Khalifahs Abu Bakr as-Siddiq
and Umar ibn al-Khattab, along with Sa’ad
ibn Abi Waqqas.
Among the orders he received was “go to
where your father was killed“.
Although the army was waiting in Jorf,
outside of Madinah, set to march to Syria,
Usamah heard word that the Prophet was
ailing, upon which Usamah promptly
returned to Madinah. The Prophet
Muhammad died soon after his arrival.
However, Usamah had already been given
the instructions regarding his position in the
army and the route that was to be taken, as
outlined above. As Abu Bakr had been
elected as the successor to the Prophet, he
was the Khalifah and therefore the leader of
the Muslim Ummah. Some of the Sahabah,
including ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab,
suggested to Abu Bakr that he, as the
Khalifah, appoint an older general to take
the place of Usamah as commander of the
Muslim forces. Upon hearing this, Abu
Bakr said to Umar: “A man appointed by
the Messenger of Allah, and you want me
to replace him? Never will that happen.”
Later, when asked by the other companions
about it, Umar reprimanded them for
suggesting the replacement of Usamah.
Upon the departure of the army, the
Khalifah went out to bid farewell to the
soldiers. He walked along while Usamah
was riding his mount, prompting Usamah
to suggest that they either ride together or
walk together, as a gesture of respect, but
Abu Bakr refused. Abu Bakr then
requested that Usamah allow Umar ibn al-
Khattab to stay behind in Madinah to help in
the administration, as it was shortly after the
death of the Prophet, and Usamah obliged.
The army reached Sham and became the
first Muslim forces to defeat the Romans in
battle, thus paving the way for the
subsequent conquests of the Syrian and
Egyptian regions, both of which were
captured during the lifetime of Usamah.
Another question that was raised by the
Shura of Abu Bakr RA was that should we
really send the army to Syria, or should we
keep it in Medina since after the death of the
Prophet Muhammad SAW, the military
position in the Arabian peninsula has
changed drastically – as with the passage of
every singe day there were new reports of
rebellion from the arab tribes.
Abu Bakr RA’s response was categorical
and unwavering:
Lashkr e Usama Jai ga aur zaroor jai ga.
This was because the army was assembled
by the none other then the Holy Prophet
SAW himself. In order to show his extreme
commitment to the dispatch of this army,
that Abu Bakr escorted the army on foot –
and only returned till the army was escorted
out of Medina.
Soon after sending this army, the Fitna of
Munkireen e Zakaat raised its head – as
Arab tribes refused to pay Zakat after the
death of Holy Prophet SAW. Hazrat Abu
Bakr RA was equally unwavering and rigid
in his stance. He ordered Jehad against all
Munkireen of Zakat.
But then there arose an even bigger threat to
Islam. It was the Fitna of Museelma Kazab.
Museelma accepted Prophet Muhammad
SAW as a prophet and wanted muslims to
also grant him the status of prophet as well.
Museelma sent his ambassadors to meet Abu
Bakr RA and make him agree on a middle
ground.
The delegation met with Abu Bakr RA and
asked him to agree on truce and accept the
prophethood of Museelma Kazab and even
if he doesnt accepts Museelma’s
prophethood just dont interfere with him and
dont fight with him. Abu Bakr RA didnt
responded to any of these demands and
instead asked the ambassadors:
What do you guys think of Museelma ?
They said, we consider him to be righteous
and not a Kazab. Tears started following
through the eyes of Abu Bakr RA and he
replied with a very bitter voice.
Had Prophet Muhammad SAW not
forbid the killing of ambassadors, I would
have killed you on spot.
It was because of this act of Abu Bakr RA
that when Yusuf Kazab claimed himself to
be a prophet, Moulana Shah Ahmed Noorani
issued a fatwa that Yusuf Kazab and all his
followers should be killed immediately.
People asked him, why should the followers
be killed and he responded by saying that
this is the Sunnah of the Sahaba RA.
After returning the ambassadors of
Museelma Kazab, Abu Bakr RA announced
that we will wage Jihad against Museelma
Kazab. On this Umar RA suggested that O’
Ameer ul Momineen, now we dont even
have enough men in Medina to buy stuff
from the shops.
Ab to medina mein koi aisa naujawan nahi
bacha jo bazar se sauda la sakey.
Abu Bakr responded by saying that:
Rab e Zul Jalal ki qasam, jab tak Abu Bakr
RA zinda hai .. Koi Deen e Muhammadi
SAW mein aik nuqta bhi ghata de ya barha
de .. ye mumkin nahi.
Abu Bakr RA ordered immediate dispatch of
Khalid bin Waleed RA’s army to Yamama,
the headquarters of Museelma Kazab’s
movement. The battle against Museelma is
known in Islamic history as the Battle of
Yamama. The final phase of the battle was
fought inside a walled garden. By the final
showdown, Museelma’s 40,000 strong army
was reduced to 7,000 men.
The battle of the garden was extremely
fierce and claimed a lot of blood from both
sides. So many Hafiz e Quran Sahaba
attained martyrdom that after the battle,
Sahaba feared that if Huffaz would continue
to be martyred at this pace – soon the entire
Quran would get wiped out from the face of
earth. It was after the battle that Abu Bakr
RA compiled the entire Quran in a single
book form.
The wiki entry about the battle fought within
the walled garden states:
Garden of Death
The apostates stepped back as the Muslims
poured into the garden. The fighting became
more vicious. But Musaylimah was still
fighting: he had no intention of giving up.
As the front moved closer to him, he drew
his sword and joined in the combat. The last
phase of the battle now entered its climax.
The Muslim army pressed the rebels
everywhere and it was only the endeavours
of Musaylimah which prevented a general
collapse. Then Musaylimah came under the
hawk-like gaze of the Wahshy ibn Harb
(the same man who killed Hamza, the uncle
of Muhammad, in the Battle of Uhud before
accepting Islam). He threw the same
javelin that killed Hamza ibn ‘Abd al-
Muttalib and struck Musaylimah in the
belly; the next moment Abu Dujana cut
off his head. The news of the death of
Musaylimah brought about the rout of the
rebel forces. The garden where this last
phase of the battle took place became
known as “Garden of Death”, as the 7,000
rebels within were slaughtered to a man.
Not a single member of Museelma’s army
was left to live another day, such is the
response of Sahaba to the defenders of a
Kazab. Hazrat Wahshy RA’s status among
the Sahaba was raised tremendously, and he
used to boast that he has paid his Kuffara of
killing Hazrat Hamza RA by killing
the blasphemer of Holy Prophet SAW.
1400 years later, another Kazab claimed
Prophethood. The fidaiyeen of Rasool
Allah SAW are in the battlefield yet again
against the defenders of this Kazab. We
are the torch bearers of the legacy of
Khalid bin Waleed RA, Wahshy RA, and
Abu Dujana RA. Our march towards the
Yamama of present day (Brasstacks) will
not stop even if we have to sacrifice rivers
of blood. We will fight till the last man
standing, till the last drop of blood.
The battle of Yamama continues …
