The Game of Pig

The object: to be the first to


score 100 points or more.
How to play: Players take turns
rolling two dice and following
these rules:
1. On a turn, a player may roll the
dice as many times as he or she
wants, keeping a running total of
the sums that come up. When the
player stops rolling, he or she
records the total and adds it to the
scores from previous rounds.
2. But, if a 1 comes up on one of
the dice before the player decides
to stop rolling, the player scores 0
for that round and it's the next
player's turn.
3. Even worse, if a 1 comes up on
both dice, not only does the turn
end, but the player's entire

20 or Bust
The object: to get as close to twenty
as possible without going over.
How to Play: Players take turns
rolling two dice and following these
rules:
1. Roll the dice and add the numbers
together. Roll the dice again and add
the numbers together.
2. Add those two new numbers
together.
3. You can choose to roll one
additional time during your turn, to
add to the total but if you go over 20
you BUST!

PLACE VALUE GAME


2 OR 3 DICE
The object for 1 player: to add two
or three digit numbers together.
The object for 2 or more: to make
the highest number OR lowest number.
How to play:
1. Roll the dice (2 or 3). Make any 2 or
3 digit number. Record the number.
2. Roll again. Make another 2 or 3 digit
number. Add the two new numbers
together - (Use the 100's, 10's and 1's
to help you.)
3. If you are playing with someone else
they do the same thing. The player with
the highest or lowest answer wins.

EVEN/ODD
The object: to reach 20 points first.
How to play:
1. One partner is Even. The other is
Odd.
2. Take turns rolling the dice. Player
decides to either add, subtract,
multiply, or divide the two numbers on
the dice (depending on their skill
level).
3. Players receive a point depending
on whether the answer is even or odd.
4. Take turns until one player reaches
20 points.

MATH RACE
The object: to cross off the numbers 0
to 12 first.
How to play:
1. Each player writes down the numbers
0 to 12 in a row. Players take turns in
rolling the two dice.
2. Player may add or subtract the
numbers on the dice. Whatever the
answer is, cross off the number.
Example: Roll a 4 and 6 . Player may
cross off 10 or 2.
3. If the numbers are already crossed off
and there are no options with either
addition or subtraction, the player skips
his/her turn.
4. Game is over when the one player
has crossed off all the numbers.

DOUBLE DUTCH
SUBTRACTION
The object for 1 player: to subtract
two or three digit numbers.
The object for 2 or more: to make
the highest number OR lowest number
by subtracting the two numbers.
How to play:
1. Roll the dice (2 or 3). Make any 2 or 3
digit number. Record the number.
2. Roll again. Make another 2 or 3 digit
number. Subtract the lowest number
from the highest number.
3. If you are playing with someone else
they do the same thing. The player with
the highest or lowest difference wins.

RACE TO 100
The object: to reach 100 exactly.
How to play:
1. Take turns rolling two dice. You may
add, subtract, multiply, or divide the
two numbers. Record your answer.
2. Add each new roll (answer) to the
last.
3. You must reach 100 exactly. If you
go over you must continue to roll until
you don't go past 100.
(The final number can be changed
from 100 for a shorter game e.g. 50)

BEAT IT
The object: to make the highest
number. To win 10 rounds first.
How to play:
1. Roll 2 to 4 dice - arrange your dice
so that you make the biggest number
possible.
2. Player two does the same thing.
3. The player with the highest number
wins the round.
4. Keep a tally of the number of
rounds you win. The winner of the
game is the player to record 10 wins
first.

4 DICE
The object for 1 player: to add
three or four digit numbers
together.
The object for 2 or more: to
make the highest number OR
lowest number.
How to play:
1. Roll the dice (3 or 4). Make
any 3 or 4 digit number. Record
the number.
2. Roll again. Make another 3 or
4 digit number. Add the two new
numbers together - (Use the
1000s 100's, 10's and 1's to help
you.)

your dice so that you make the
