Students will be able to practice their technological skills by

creatively making a comic strip about their favorite subject
and why.
Teacher will assess students knowledge by using a rubric.

Materials:

Computer/iPad with Bitstrips app

I will present my own comic strip about history and explain

why it is my favorite subject. I will then show them the app
and help them explore the app. By showing them the
unlimited possibilities they could do, it will engage them and
encourage them to think outside the box.
By combining their favorite subject, their creativity, and the
modern use of technological apps. This lesson is not
supposed to be strict, but rather highlight the positivity
aspects of connecting apps (outside life) to school. They will
use the app to explain why their favorite subject is their
favorite. It is combining multiple interests of the modern
learner.

For students that are higher achieving, I will have them

complete a total of 8 pictures/slides with more details. I will
also encourage them to help their peers that might be
struggling. For students that have special needs, I will modify
the lesson so they only have to complete 3 slides. The rest of
the expectations will remain the same. I will try to pair high
achieving students with students who are struggling as well.
I will each have them write 4 sentences reflecting on what
they have learned from the activity and explain how they can
use it in the future.
