Proper service and repair is important to the safe, reliable operation of all M/D Toteo equip-

operations require the use of tools specially designed for the purpose, those special tools should
bbe used as recommended. Warnings against the use of specific service methods that can damage
equipment or render it unsafe are stated in the manuals. These warnings are not exclusive, as
MPD Totco could not possibly know, evaluate and advise service people of all conceivable ways
in which service might be done or of all possible associated hazardous consequences. Accord-

B-2 Calibration Procedure
Calibration of the relay is required if the diapliay os »yrinp is replaced, or if the setting of the
tension adjustment screw is changed.
‘This procedure requires a calibrating fixture, Pant C1 M11 (Unglish) or COI3O1X (SI),
obtainable from The Foxboro Company.
1. Position relay as shown (with recessed rectangle on eover foward left) and mount
relay on fixture.
2. Seal opening in nozzle valve with finger until wrele yrenmure (on left gauge) is 15
psi or 100 kPa, then release finger. Repet

or 14.7 kPa,
4, Note output pressure (on right gauge). [freading is 2.5-3.0 psi or 17-20 kPa, relay is
in calibration. If not proceed to Step 5.
5. Remove plug from rear of fixture (use 3/16-inch hex-key wrench) and carefully
insert a narrow, thin-blade screwdriver into opening to engage slottcd head of ten
