Training
Is the trained people available for Lifting and rigging (If any equipment available)
Wire Ropes
Test Certificate (Within One Year)
Storing method (Away from water or any other contamination which can damage
/ Stored as it avoid any bents in the rope
Ropes should be lubricated (Its not compulsory, but better for its reliability)
Damages / sever bents / loosen up plies
Wire Ropes
Weather the rope use according to its strength (Use the Chart and the following
calculation)

Wire Ropes
Example - Maximum Safe Mass for a 3/8" Wire Rope
The relationship between mass and force (weight) can be expressed as
m=F/g
(1)
where
F = force, weight (N)
m = mass (kg)
g = acceleration of gravity (9.81 m/s 2)
Maximum safe mass for a 3/8" wire rope where safe load is 10.9 kN can be calculated as
m= (10.9 103 N) / (9.81 m/s2)
= 1111 kg
Wire Ropes
Check the correct arrangement of Bulldog grips (in cranes too)
Slings
Storing method (Avoid any damage; best way is roll it and kept in a cupboard without any
load on it or hang vertically)
Any inspection record (To make sure they inspect it)
Check for any physical damage (if any damage available disqualify the sling)
Check for the label with its basic capacities and it should comply with at least one
international standard)
Partly damage means we cant use it even for partial load
If you cant see (inspect) the sling due to debris, consider it is disqualified
Size does not indicate the load capacity
Hooks
All hooks must contain a latch
Check the gap at hook throat (If the gap too much latch will come out of the hook)

ground condition and
overhead structures)
