Reflection: During these Excel activities, I demonstrated my ability to analyze data, as well as use it to
perform important tests to further analyze and determine the significance of the data and its results.
Throughout the completion of these assignments, I learned how to better utilize Excel for analyzing my
classroom data of student results, and using my findings to adjust and guide my teaching strategies.

EDRS 8000: Qualitative Study Design / 22 hours

PSC 2.8, 3.6/ISTE 2h, 3f

Reflection: This Qualitative Study Design consists of a research paper that covers the topic of technology
use with ELL students and mathematics. Throughout this research, I explain how I would carry out the
research design if I were to actually implement this. Additionally, the purpose and future considerations
of this research study are included both to help others in my career field by directing and giving more
guidance to those wishing to take this topic further. I still used this as my primary topic for my official
research study in EDRS 8900. However, because I began teaching all advanced classes, I did not have
any ELL students, so I had to take them out of my research.

EDRS 8900: Research Proposal and Peer Feedback/ 5

hours
Reflection: Originally, my research proposal was based on the impact accessing and using resources on
our schools learning management system, ItsLearning. However, after the feedback I received and
realizing there were too many uncontrolled variables, I decided to change my topic to how the use of
technology impacts student achievement on a summative assessment.

PSC 2.8, 3.6/ISTE 2h, 3f
Nov. 6th
Feedback / 18 hours
Reflection: This research paper includes my methods, results, conclusions, as well as a discussion for
future research. Aside from misreading the p-value in my t-test, I received positive feedback. I will need
to add reliability and validity to my paper for the full draft. Additionally, addressing how my findings can
impact school improvement and other educators will need to be extended.

Feedback / 15 hours
Reflection: The full research paper includes all categories: Introduction, Literature Review, Methods,
Results, Discussion and Conclusions. The suggestions provided in my feedback from the first draft were
taken into consideration and applied where necessary in the full paper.

and Presentation / 25 hours
Reflection: The final paper includes all categories mentioned above. Any recommended changes and/or
additions to make to my paper were thoughtfully applied to improve this final version. Additionally, a
presentation including a summary of my research and findings was created to share with my peers. I
viewed several of my peers presentation and provided feedback to 3 of them.
