General Classroom Rules:

1.

Always come to class prepared. Students will be expected to bring paper, pencils, folder,
and any homework that is due with theme to class. There will be no passes to the lockers
for these items. There will only be two passes allowed per 9 week quarter. If an
emergency should arise, you will be allowed a pass with mandatory time with me before
or after school.

2.

No Food, Drinks, of Candy of any kind will be allowed in the classroom.

3.

Students are not to change any of the computer backgrounds or settings.

4.

Students should complete their own work. IF there are any questions see me. IN the
instance of cheating or plagiarism a "0" will be given to all parties involved, NO
QUESTIONS ASKED!

Label all assignments with NAME, DATE, HOUR and ASSIGNMENT

Students should respect everyone and everything in the classroom. This would include
the teacher, other students, yourself, and all equipment. Equipment would include
computers, printers, furniture, etc.

Classroom Procedures:

Entering the Classroom:


Upon entering the classroom students are expected to put cell phones away and sit in
their assigned seat ready to begin class.
Tardy to Class:
Students are tardy if they are not in their assigned seat when the bell rings.
Supplies Needed:
Folder
Notebook
Pen (Blue or Black)
Pencil
If you don't have the appropriate supplies the first time I will lend you a writing utensil
and/or paper, after this you will lose 10% of your daily participation grade due to being
unprepared.

Daily Assignments:
Assignments will be given each day verbally/written on the board at the end of the
lecture. Students are responsible for writing assignment due dates in their agenda books.
I will remind students verbally of upcoming due dates as well.
Turning in Assignments:
All assignments should be turned in to the appropriate tray. Weekly Activity Reports are
due every Monday. Students should turn in all quizzes and tests to the appropriate tray f
or their class.
Testing:
During testing students are expected to be quiet (absolutely no talking). If they are not I
will assume they are cheating and they will receive a "0". Once all tests are turned in
normal classroom environment may resume.
Returning Assignments:
All homework assignments will be graded and returned as quickly as possible. I will
make every attempt to return tests the next class period.
Grade Status:
I will update grades weekly on Teacherease. You can check grades online by the end of
the day Friday or speak with me on the following Monday. If at any time you have a
question about a grade that has been posted you may speak to with me before or after
class, and before or after school. Remember to please be respectful.
Students Responsibilities After An Absence:
Students are responsible for all work missed during and absence. Students should make
arrangements with me to make-up any missed work upon returning to school. Students
will have the exact amount of days absent to complete and return the work to me. If the
student fail to make arrangements with me, or to complete the missed work, they will
receive a "0" for that assignment. Students will only be allowed to complete any
assignments before or after school, at home, not during the class period.
If there is a foreseen absence, please talk with me about the assignment that will be
missed before the absence.
You must be present 6 out of the 7 class periods during the day in order to go to your
Training site. It is your responsibility to contact your employer and notify them that
you will be absent. Students will lose 10% per day from total work points for
unexcused absences from work.

Excused Absences with a Physicians's slip - You must turn a copy of the slip in to Mr.
Swenson, the office and worksite if required.
Late, Missing or Incomplete Assignments:
An assignment turned in after the beginning of the class period of the due date given will
be considered late. All late work will be docked 20% for the first week. After that
students will only receive 50% credit of work completed. Any assignment, quiz or test
not completed will receive a grade of "0".

Communication Procedures with Parents or Guardians:


If at any time students or parents should have questions they may contact me by phone or
email. I will make appointments as needed.
