Welcome to architecture
Architecture is involved with construction, designing new buildings, extensions and
alterations to buildings that already exist. They work in different ways for example
individual buildings to large schemes, and also responsible for what the design would be
for landscapes and spaces. Architects work with their clients and their duties are to make
sure that all designs function with what are the clients needs, safety and economy,
architects go through every with what will they benefit their clients. Architects
communicate by sending e-mails to let clients now hoe step by step with everything go,
they will also help on giving you tips on how would be a better way for you to feel
comfortable with your house. Architects can also work using IT that means, using a
computer that has all the specific aided to design. This is another program that is
necessary in your career for an architect, this program will be a great benefit, and this
way everything will be easier to make architectural plans. Architects also know the
architectural plans and designs of homes, offices, retail stores, and other structures. They
are expected to know the new facilities and for more healthcare facilities.
Start career
To start your career as an architect it takes about five years for you to finish your bachelor
degree, that is 5 different programs and it can take 5 to 1 year for you to finish your
masters, that is 4 programs, after you have completed all the programs that are necessary
you will go into training most companies require three years of experience, that is to
work with landowners, developers, construction workers, engineers, urban planners
during the design and construction stages. The next thing to do is getting License,

certifications, and registrations, all states require you to have license for that same state,
to obtain that it takes three steps and that is: Completing a professional degree in
architect, gaining relevant experience through a paid internship, and passing the Architect
Registration Exam. At some other places like Mexico and Turkey it only takes 5 years of
school to become an architecture. In the US and China it is required for you to take 5
years of school, 3 years of internship and the final exam.
Education
The schooling required is to understand architectures historical, socio-cultural, and
environmental context, able to solve architectural design problems including technical
system integration, health and safety requirements, understand the architects roles and
responsibilities in society. Also Analytical skills that is to understand what are the
locations of medical systems and how the systems can affect building operations. Other
one is to Communication skills that is to share ideas like oral presentations and in writing.
Architects that prepare drawings or help, they learn how to explain their designs. That
leads to creativity that means that architects should know how to design the overlook of
houses, buildings, and other structures.
Salary
The pay of an Architect was $73,090 in 2012. The lowest is less than $44,600 and that is
a 10%, another 10% its earnings is more than $118,230. This is isnt enough pay so most
of architects work long hours, and full time, others do self-employed and that gets them
more flexible work hours. By 2022 is expected to raise to 126,000.
Outlook
The outlook for this career is by 2022 with grow 17% that makes it bigger than the
average for most occupations. Many universities and school districts are expected to
build new facilities or renovate the buildings. Demand is expected for more health

facilities as baby-boomer population ages. Demand is project by sustainable design, it is

also known as green design they focus on efficient use resources that is like: energy,
water, waste, pollution reduction, environmentally friendly design, specifications, and
materials.
Bio
Mr. Clark, Norman E. had been working in architecture, he did not know at the time that
architecture would be what he to be. After 15 of experience of architecture he attended to
the University of Utah, he attended for 6 years and found out that architecture is what he
wanted to be. Clark did not graduated, and it wasnt because he didnt want or because he
could but he had so much experience with architecture that they offered him to do the
exam and be licensed, it took him 4 years to pass the test, and he is now a Register
Licensed Architect. He couldnt go other states to work, because he needed a license from
that same state, he now is a professor at Salt Lake City community college. To get his
license was very easy at the time, now is not acceptable to just do training, go to college
and take the exam. Students now have to go through a lot of years of school and training.
He also had the great opportunity to create the house he and his wife wanted, he was the
one to design the architectural plans for his house, he was his own boss and didnt have to

deal with other people but just him and his workers.
Pros
There is a 20% of growth expected in 2022 this means it will go up to 17% more, and that

will be a better pay.

Engineers that are trained in one area can have more possibilities with more employment.
If engineers are trained in one state, is a big possibility that, they will work with that

same company, and wont have to go look for jobs.

Room for advancement

The average salaries are about $62,000 a year, with bachelors degree. Most architects

work with just their bachelor and that way they get enough paid.
Variety of projects are different project architects work on; it could be hospitals or homes,
you will truly never get bore of what you are working on, or your project. This an
advantage for you to use your imagination and work on what you love.

Cons

Design standards and deadlines can cause job pressures and extended hours, it doesnt

matter if your done with school, it requires for you to work average your limit hours.
Must be licensed to sell service to the public that means if you move out state you will

basically be starting your career all over again.

4 years of relevant experience after graduating that will be required for licensing
Some states might have additional licensing requirements.
At least 8 years of training you will also be needing to take, IDP that means Intern
Development Program this will be taking longer than 3 years. And then theres the ARE

Architect Registration Exam.

Exam- it takes about 4 years, to try taking this important and final test. If you fail one of
your programs or that final test you will not take this important test and go back and redo
everything again.
My fit
Architecture is that I love creating new things, I like to learn new things, and architecture
lets me be creative and show what I like by drawing and creating what I like. Most
architects dont free draw because it is not really necessary because of the technology we
own now and they use IT to create the plans, some architects have that advantage to know
how to free draw. I love drawing, I like to draw in every little piece of paper I find, free
drawing helps a lot in a way that you can have a problem with the plans and just erase it
and create it the right way, rather than going back to the computer and recreate everything
again. Of course it takes more than knowing how to draw, but it also takes a lot of

responsibility and knowing that architecture is really what you want. It takes a lot of
years to achieve this goal. It takes patience, years of hard work, and a lot of time. The
best thing about this is if youre passionate about this career,
