Propeller Power
Propeller craft remained in service for a
variety of roles
New aircraft, like the F-82, were designed
for special roles
Propeller craft could travel farther, carry
more, and be larger
Leftovers from WWII were used to save
money
Limited success against jets with the
Hawker Sea Fury

The Helicopter
The helicopter made its debut in Korea as a medivac vehicle
It had the ability to land and takeoff in the most remote of places
Early helicopters were very underpowered

The gunships of Vietnam and


today were a long way off
Helicopters were very fragile and
had little space
They nonetheless saved
numerous lives

replaced by the m14

Originally designed to be a World War 1
trench clearing gun.
Popular with Chicago Gangsters during
prohibition.
US service from 1938-1971.
Used by both sides as standard issue
weapons.

United Nations Weapons During the Korean War


M1, 2 and 3 Carbine
Originally mass produced between 1942
to 1945.
The M2 was a M1 with semi and full auto
capabilities.
The M3 was a M1 or M2 equipped with an
infrared scope.

Standard soviet weapon from 1943 to
1945.
Chinas Type 54 was based of of this
weapon.

Was formally replaced in 1950 by the AK47.
Used heavily by soviet allies throughout
the 1970.

Mainly the Chinese copy was used
used by the chinese from 1911 to mid
1960s..

Not used in the korean war.
developed and made during the korean
war.
Most Reliable gun ever made.
Has been used in every single conflicted
besides the korean war since its creation.
1 in 5 gun in the world today are AK-47s.
