1 SUMMARY
Play Sports is a subscription offer of Telenet Digital TV program. Play Sports offers a wide
range of sports such as:

Football (Belgian, Holland, German, English and since short Spanish & Italian
Competitions)
Golf
Formula 1
Hockey
Basketball
NFL (American Football)

Play Sports and Telenet in general have a lot of costumers, and Play Sports actively tries to
keep them all satisfied. Play Sports Facebook page is a handy way to communicate with their
costumers and keep them updated on any changes in the program. Or since the 5th of
December, happily announce to their costumers that Play Sports has improved their football
program by offering the Spanish Lega and Serie A above their regular football offer.

3 INTRODUCTION TO PLAY SPORTS

Play Sports is an offer in the Telenet Digital TV package. Play Sports has been introduced last
summer (2014) instead of Prime Sport/Sporting Telenet.
It offers a lot of sports on demand for people to watch it (who have the subscription on Play

Subscribing to Play Sports costs 16,45/month, since the 5th of December, Telenet made a
deal with Eleven Sports. This means that Play Sports offer increased with more sports such

Play Sports announce their newest deal with Eleven Sport. Now they offer, above the regular

with their costumers on this post.

4.2 WHY IS PLAY SPORTS ACTIVE ON FACEBOOK?

Play Sports has a massive amount of costumers, Play Sports constantly has to update their
offer/program and try to please their costumers at all times. By constantly giving updates on
most of their sport offers (such as cycling, football, golf and Formula 1), Play Sports is
certainly informing their costumers.

4.3 WHAT IS IT ACHIEVING THIS WAY?

Play Sports probably hoped for a more positive result, but since they have a lot of
costumers, they have to please a lot of their costumers as well, and this is not an easy task.
There are a lot of unhappy costumers, who hope to see their favorite team and due to
planning, dont see their team at all. Play Sports tries to answer rude posts, in a most polite
way and tries to keep their costumers pleased with their approach.

5 CONCLUSION
Play Sports tries to communicate through Facebook with their costumers. Its a very direct
approach. Play Sports has endured a lot of negative comments, since they raised their prices
and offered more sports, but less football (which is the most popular watched sport on
Belgian TVs)

Play Sports actively tries to update their program and informing their costumers through
Facebook. Its a bold strategy since, as said above, there are a lot costumers currently
unhappy with Play Sports.

By responding positively on the negative comments, Play Sports tries to pursue an optimistic
approach towards their costumers. As seen in the many examples above.
