Unit: Bowling Grade: 6th-8th Lesson Activity: Wii bowling Lesson # 12 Class Wii bowling Size: 14 Date: 10/19/15
Instructional Objectives (Skill, Condition, Criteria): Students will
be able know the correct approach, follow through and stance.
Cognitive (Know) Students will be able to verbalize what the
approach, stance and follow through.
Psychomotor (Does) - Students will be able to perform different
wii sport bowling practice games and tournament wii bowling.
Affective (Values) students will play safely and fairly. Students
will hold wii controller firmly and have wrist brace.
Language Function-Syntax (Examples exit slip, summary
paragraph) or discourse (talking about content) (Examples pair &
share, walk & talk)
I will give the students an exit slip asking students some terms we
learned in class today. For example three strikes in a row is called
what? Answer turkey.

2 Tv, projector, 3 wii, 16 wii remotes, batteries, tape, and an open
area.

Modifications /Adaptations:
Have students work on having a non-spin ball and having students
have a pro ball that can have more spin. Have students a warm up
game to get a feel for the controller.

Introduce the wii bowling and demonstrate the proper stance,
approach and follow through for bowling. Have students eyes
on me listening and have students repeat what they saw and
heard.
Have students find their own personal space and still able to
see my demonstration
Go over the 3 and 5 step approach, follow through hand
finishing over your opposite shoulder, and the correct way to
hold the wii controller.
Students will be divided up into groups of four to practice
stance, follow through, and approach.

Ask questions about the skills learned and have students


demonstrate stance, approach and follow through as well as go
over vocab that bowling has. Then have students take exit slip
and bring it back filled out.

the signs are in bowling. I thought my break down of the approach, stance and follow through went well.
