Influence of Technology to the Society


Technology has both positive and negative impacts to the society. Technological
developments have promoted the enhancement of human lives physically, mentally and
emotionally. Technological advancement has lead to the invention of many gadgets that has
improved human activities in the community .It has lead to the development of telephone, mobile
phones and the computers increasing the efficiency of communication within the society.
The automobile industry has too positively influence the efficiency of transportation
making human movement from one place to the other easier and timely. The invention of
televisions and the internet has expanded the human understanding globally by exposing
individuals to global news of cultural integration (stone et al, 2015). The development of the
internet may support the society positively but it also poses negative threats to the society
globally. The internet exposes young people to some dangerous materials online, which can
change the social aspects of the youth. The television exposes people to attractive advertisements
leading to the introduction to junk foods causing obesity and changing the human healthy styles.
The technology has changed the mindset of children in the society making the current
generation very different from the past ones. Children are more dependent on the electronic

devices that they cannot do without them in the normal daily life making them not think logically
and critically. There are negative influences of the technology in the society causing various
issues among the children and the teenagers. They are addicted to Playstations, constant texting
and posting on the Facebook some students even use the IPOD, and IPADS in class distracting
there studies.
Many deaths have occurred following the innovation and use of various forms of
technology such as the use of cell phones while driving. Technological development has
increased the learning ability among the individuals by changing improving the education and
medical sectors. The education enhancement has been enabled by the incorporation of new
electronic devices such as the computer systems. The computers promote education by making it
easy to retrieve information.
