A.Routine:Theroutineisanexampleofit.Whenthechildren
cometotheKGtheyputtheirstuff,hangtheirnamesonthe
attendanceboardthensitinthecircletimeandwaittheteacher.
B.Therewardsystem:managingtheirbehavior.Forexample,
whenastudentinvolvesalotshepostshispictureintheLucky
Frogboard.

Yes,everymorningsherepeatstheruleswiththekidsandshe

understandtherules.Someotherteachersintheschoolmadea
songfortherulestomakeiteasyforthemtokeepitintheir
minds.

IwouldusetheGiveacademichelpsstrategy.BecauseIlike
tobepositiveandmotivatemystudentstohaveselfesteemand
Ithinkitwillbuildagoodfutureforthem.Forexample,by
askingthestudentsabouttheirfuturejobandletthemdrawand
Imotivatethembyshowingthemmyhappyandsurprised
reactionoftheirfuturedrawings.

Yes,iftheteachergiveachancetothestudentstotalkwithher.
Becausemostofthetimewhentheytalkwithher,shedoesnt

listentothem.

InthefirstdayoftheTP,Iwassurprisedfromtheplaceand
howthechildrenweredependingontheirselvestositinthe
circletimeandputtheirstuffsintheshelf.

Itsonlyonethingshockedme.Whentheteacherhitastudent
becauseofhismisbehavior.Ididntlikethis,becausethis
strategywillneverhelpthestudenttohaveagoodbehaviorand
respecttheteacher,alsohewillnotinvolveintheclass.
7.Whatdelightedyou?
Whenthechildrenrunaroundmeandcalledmeteacher.It
wasanamazingfeeling.IfeltthatImarealteacherandkids
respectme.

Ifthechildrenwerenotinterestedwiththelesson.Shetriesto
connectthelessonwithagameorbymovingtoanotherplace.
Forexample,whenthelessonwasabouttheshapesquare.It
wasboringforthemtositinthecircletimeandwatchthe
teacherdrawasquare.Theteacherdecidedtotakethemoutside
intheplaygroundtoletthemdrawasquareonthesandandto
findsomethingsquareintheplayground.
2.Whatsortofdesignatedassessmenttasksareintegrated
withinclasswork?
Shehasdifferentwaystoexplaintheassessment.Sheusethe
datashowforapresentation,groupsworksheets,andexplaining
ontheboardbydrawingandwritingorlettingthechildren
draw.

3.Howdoess/heassessthelearningduringlesson?
Inonehourshedoesdifferentactivitiesforonelesson.She
explainsthelesson,tellthemastoryaboutthelesson,thendoan
experimentwiththem(likewhenthelessonwasaboutfoodshe
cutwiththemvegetablesandtheymadeasaladwitheach
other).Butitshouldntbetoomanyactivitiesinonehourtonot
disturbtheirthoughts,andshouldntbeonlyoneactivityso
studentswillfeelbored.

4.Howdids/hegivefeedbacktofacilitatelearning?
Itdependsonthestudentsbehavior.Ifhewasinvolvingand
doingwhattheteachersays,shewillgivehimapositive
reinforcementlikeastarsohewillbemotivatedtoinvolve
again.Butifthestudentwasnaughtyandnotlisteningtothe
teacher,hewillbepunishedbysittingaloneinadifferent
corner.Thiswillhelptheteachertomonitorthechildren
behaviorsandtohelpthemencouragetheirlearning.

Yes,everydayshegiveshomeworkandpostsanoteintheir
notebookstolettheirparentsreadandknow.Iagreewiththis
becauseitwilldevelopthechildrensskillsandtheywillbeable
tounderstandthelessonwell.
6.Whichofthesestrategieswouldyouuse/notuse?Why?
Iwoulduseeyecontactswithindividualchildren,especially
thosewhomakenoiseanddisturbothers.Tomakethemfocus
onmeandreinvolvethemselvesinthelesson.

7.Wasthereanythingthatcouldhavebeendone
differently?
Yes,itwouldbemuchbetteriftheteacherdidnthitthe
misbehaviorchild,becausehewillalwaysrememberthisandit
willaffecthimnegatively.Andhemightnotdealcomfortably
withtheteacher.

8.Whatsurprisedyou?
WhentheteacherletmedrawontheirfacestheUAEflaginthe
flagday.Theywerehappyandwaitingtheirturns.Thismade
mehappyandgladtodrawontheirfaces.

Whenahyperstudentthrowatoyonteachershead.Andshe
wasshockedalso.Butherunawayfromher.

10.Whatdelightedyou?
WhenwedrawandcolortheUAEflag.Allthechildrenwere
involvingtheactivityandthismademesohappy,becauseIlove
seeingthechildrenhappyandsmile.
