FINAL SUBMISSION
Though all three of these
articles share similarities in
regards to topic, they differ in
their textual features, content,
tone, and the manner in which
they employ specific moves in
order to communicate their
message to the reader.
My second paragraph explores
how textual features differ
between my two scholarly
sources, and how these
differences emphasize each
pieces varying conventions.

CHANGES I MADE:
I didnt really make any changes to my
thesis statement or introductory
paragraph in general, but seeing my
thesis reminds me of what specific
points are driving my paper.

I didnt really see a need to change the

structure of this paragraph; I felt that
it was a good starting body paragraph.
By condensing this paragraph into its
main point, I can remember what my
thought process was in comparing
these two sources.

something at the beginning of my
paragraph that would serve as an
indicator for what I would be talking
about.

My fourth paragraph analyzes

the content the psychology

says about what is valued in this

Zack suggested that I needed to

include a part that would explain how
my quote related back to my
argument. I added the sentence: In

while also adhering to the conventions
of their respective genres. Reverse

central point I was trying to make,
and how this related to the big

My final paragraph is my
conclusion where I summarized
the ideas and analysis that were
brought up in my paper, how
they come together, and why
they are important.

This paragraph also did not require

any major change to its structure.
Seeing the focal point of this
paragraph reminds me that a source is
only effective if it appeals to the
audience, and that understanding this
is crucial to being a critical writer/
reader.
