needs at the health science library. Provide sole librarian coverage for weekend shifts with

PHARMACY ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST, POUDRE VALLEY HOSPITAL; FORT COLLINS, CO 2011-2013

Tasked with obtaining prescription drug information on new admissions to the hospital.
Verify all information through patients pharmacies to ensure accuracy. Type up all
accumulated information and work with pharmacists to give doctors a usable order list of
medications. Work directly with nurses, pharmacists, and doctors to find clarification on the
medications the patient uses at home.

Worked and volunteered with the library district over the course of 4 years. Duties
included checking in/out & shelving library materials, fielding phone calls from the public,
assisting patrons with questions about their library accounts. Gained technical services
expertise by coding, RFID-ing, and protective covering library materials entering
collection. Proficient in Millennium ILS software. Given special projects of gathering
interlibrary loan materials for sending out and organizing shelves to make sure all
materials were in order.

Work consisted of entering, counting, and dispensing prescriptions customers would

bring in to have filled. Ample customer service interactions through the phone and in

Received hands-on training in teaching and instruction for undergraduates and graduates.
Prepared for and led various instruction sessions for English as a Second Language
students. Semester long placement in humanities library required me to create lesson
plans with emphasis on learning outcomes and assessment. Communicated with UWMadison instructors to develop optimal lesson plans for instruction. Lead a team of
librarian staff to coordinate an offsite instruction session. Further experience with lib guide
creation.
