1.0 - Acknowledgement

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the following that


without their help this survey on Thinking Skills in ICT would not possible
and be done in time.

First to our beloved parents who are always there with the
continuing support, morally and financially. Next, million thanks to Prof
Madya Dr Rosseni Bt Din, our lecturer who always leads and assists us in
throughout the entire process towards finishing this survey.

To our friends and classmates who always give their comments,


suggestions and full cooperation on how this survey can improved. Above
all, greatest gratitude and thankfulness to God, who gave us enough
knowledge in completing this task. May Allah always bless in everything
we did until the end.

2.0 - Objectives
The objectives of the online survey on thinking skills in ICT is conducted
are as stated as below:

To find out how many people (based on the respondents) are aware

of the thinking skills applied in ICT.


To find out how many people (based on the respondents) are

actually applying the thinking skills in ICT.


To make concrete deduction based on the survey conducted on the
many aspects of thinking skills in ICT.

3.0 - Targeted Respondents


The targeted respondents in our questionnaire titled Thinking Skills in
ICT are first year TESL students, particularly the ones in group T2.

4.0 - Execution of Plan


We prepared a questionnaire with our groups title and requested other
groups to answer it on Google Form. Then we gathered the response
received and we analysed it. At the end of our discussion, I think its safe

to say that most of our targeted respondents managed to grasp the


concept of Thinking Skills in ICT.

5.0 - Summary of the Survey

Title:

1) Which of the following is not the example of the thinking skills in
ICT?
Seven of the students answered (explanation). Two students
answered

(reasoning)

while

the

other

three

students

chose

(enquiry).

2) What is reasoning is all about?


For the second questions, the total numbers of students who chose
(giving the reason) as the answer are seven students. The rest of
five students chose (making deduction).

3) What are the ICT processes related in information processing?


For the next question, there are many types of answer. For those
who answered (searching) there are only three students. Then there
are about five students who answered (searching and selecting)

while there are three students who chose (locating and finding).
Lastly, a person who answered (organising).

4) Do you think that ICT can build and strengthen your thinking skills?
For the last survey question, almost 80% of the students who
answered (yes) which is total of 10 students and the rest of two
students preferred to choose (not sure).

6.0 - Conclusion

In conclusion, this online survey is conducted is to find out and


make deductions on the topic, Thinking Skills in ICT. Based on the survey
that have been carried out, there are many opinions from the respondents
of the survey which differs.
Thinking skills in ICT is basically important especially for our
generation which is known as Gen Z. This is because we lived in an era
where technology in information evolving around us. Therefore, thinking
skills in ICT is very important to be acknowledgement and applied in order
to be up-to-date with our surroundings, current situations and for the
upbringing of the future.
Hence, these skills are very significant to be instilled in order for
people to be able to cope and enhance their knowledge, productivity and
innovative thinking. Finally, the effort to improve the thinking skills in ICT
will benefits a nation to become greater and go beyond limitations to
create a better world of tomorrow.
