Consecration of Akakios (Dec 9, 1960)
M
U
N
Akakios Papas was consecrated secretly in the
IT presence of just ten people in Detroit, Michigan, USA
Y on December 9, 1960 (old calendar), by Ecumenists of
the Dispersion, namely, the Russian Seraphim of
Chicago and the Romanian New-Calendarite
Theophile Ionescou. His apostolic succession,
therefore, is compromised by its origin in the New
Calendar and Ecumenism.
