Instructions
Each group is responsible for reading their short story and creating a presentation of materials that
they find. The groups are responsible for creating a 8-10 minute conversational presentation in which the
audience will be taking an active part.
Each group member will be assessed as a whole group, along with individual assessment.
Whole group - will be literary ideas, content ideas
Individual - will be length of time speaking, the content given
The Presentation Should Include:
Plot Chart with Explanation
Character Description/Analysis
Grand Questions
Connection between class work and short story
Conflict Representation
The Presentation May Include:
Any technological features (must be compatible with the technology in the classroom)
Props of any sort that connect to your story
You Will be Assessed On:
Quality of contributions to the literature circles as small group
Quality of contributions to the literature circles as large group
Quality of ideas presented
Quality of groups discussions
Quality of engagement of students in the classroom (have a hook to engage students)
Things to Consider
There will be no written content collected.
You may wish to hand in notes, but they will not be read by me as I will be looking for the
content to be presented while your group is speaking.
