tostarthelpingotherswiththeirwriting,andselectedanareaofwritingcenterscholarshipto
specializeinandstartedresearchingit.Inyourfinalprojectforthissemester,youllbetakingyour
specializationfromProject2astepfurtherandperformingyourownoriginalresearchfocusedonthe
intersectionsbetweenyourspecializationandtheFSUreadingandwritingcenter.Youllbe
developingaresearchquestion,developingmethodsforcompletingyourresearch,andactually
carryingyourresearchoutandreportingonyourfindings.
Byfarthemostimportantpartofthisprojectisfiguringoutwhatquestion(s)toask,andwhatmethods
willhelpyouanswerthatquestion.So,inshort,yourapproachtothisprojectshouldfocusoncoming
upwithasuitablycomplexquestionyouwanttoansweraboutyourspecialtytopicfromProject2,and
figuringoutwhatmethodswillbesthelpyoufindtheanswertothisquestion(surveys?interviews?
discourseanalysis?statisticalanalysisoftheRWCsystems?etc.).Onceyouhaveaquestionand
methodsdown,yourremainingtaskswillbecompilingyourfindingsandwritingareportonyour
research,inadditiontosharingyourfindingswiththerestoftheclass.
