percent of everything in indesign
objectives: I want to create something that was different in my
two hours i had. I figured this had real life implications on my
future so why not.

searching for images online. Also figuring out my sentances was
important.

We have been doing business since 1858. The

reason we are still standing today is because of the
integrity that is within the walls of NW Mutual
At the end of the day, this is about helping real
people, in real circumstances get control of their
finances. The time for personal peace begins
now.

Familes that plan together stay together.

Northwestern Mutuals financial plans
begin and end with family. We know that
the future of this country is predicated
the personal sucess of familes. We truly
believe that.

Web Page

Description: I created a Webpage using CSS and HTMl.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I worked in text wrangler,
W3schools, and Adobe photoshop. This was a new experience for
sure. I learned the nuts and bolts of CSS and HTMl. There is a
learning curve for sure, but I ultimately figured it out. I also
worked a lot with color schemes and using different styles of
fonts.
Message: The message is for the outdoor enthusiast. I wanted to
incorporate a new fresh feeling to a very old hobby. Experiencing
the outdoors. I liked the fresh feeling it all presented. Rakaposhi has a deep meaning to it, I like the symbolism incorporated.
I wanted the demographic of 18-49 year olds to get outside and
to get active.
Audience: 18-49 year old people interested in the outdoors.
Top Thing Learned: I had literally no idea how to do anything in
CSS and this project helped me figure out the basics.

the opacity tool to create a solid blend. I used different fonts
to create a professional and fun feel.I used the masking tool to
mask out my body. I also used the flip tool to rotate an image 180
degrees.
Message: The message is for adults and families serious about
improving their financial situation. There is a lot of stress out
there, especially if we do not properly plan. I am interested in
sitting down with people and families and having a chat about
their money and ultimately provide them a plan that we can help
with.
Audience: Responsible Adults, 18-65
Top Thing Learned: I learned a lot more about the company
through researching them.

Logos

Description: I created a logo in Adobe Illustrator

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Working in Illustrator, I
worked immensely with the pen tool. It was awesome. I also used
the shape tool and converted the stars into triangles. For the
cloud I used multiple circles and stretched the side out. I actually had a lot of fun working in illustrator. It is one my favorite
adobe programs. Im looking forward to more work in the Adobe
programs!
Message: This is interesting, but I love mountains. I started doing
research on the biggest mountains in the world and Rakaposhi is
the biggest mountain in Pakistan. If we look at a mountain from
the base to the top Rakaposhi is the biggest mountain in the
world. With that being said the interpretation means, snow covered thus my statement. This message is for the outdoor enthusiast.
Audience: The outdoor audience: Hikers, mountaineers, anybody
who loves to get outside and do stuff.
Top Thing Learned: I enjoyed using the pen tool, it is tricky, but
I enjoyed it. I think just learning the illustrator program was
awesome too.

Montage

Description: I created a montage using Adobe Photoshop.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, Steps taken while designing):
I worked with several processes I had never before previously
used. I used the leveling tool to lighten the image. I also used
masking to create a more harmonious design. I did a lot of work
with the opacity tool as well. Initially i used 7 images. By the end
of this project I had brought it down to 4 to simplify the message. It was a lot of fun working in photoshop.
Message: The message is to the Universe that by the hand of God
was everything created.
Audience: Every single person who calls themselves children of
the Almighty.
Top Thing Learned: I learned how to blend naturally, and make
images harmoniously work together and bring together a great
gestalt.
Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: I used leveling on the whole flattened image. I used opacity on all of the
images.
Color scheme and color names: White and Black

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Like I mentioned I used a couple
of the Adobe Programs. I used the shape tool a lot along with
different variations of it. I also used the text tool. The hope was
to make it blend together with the color. I also used the pen
tool. The skills I used were what I have learned this semester. I
tried to incorporate white space as much as possible. I did that
fairly well throughout!

who wants to go out and snowboard. The purpose is to create a
brand awareness that is simple, slick and new and appeals to the
Millennials.

Flier

Description: This is a flier I created for an upcoming sample

graduation.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, FOCUS principles): I created this
in Adobe InDesign, I used many sizing and shaping tools, as well
as text boxes. I focused on making the simplicity show as well as
creating a lot of white space. I then used symmetry to line up the
borders. I tried to incorporate the rule of odds as well. I then
tried to unify the whole with gestalt to make it easy on the eye.
Message: Ultimately, I want to appeal to the college graduate
and make sure they attend the conference.
Audience: Young adults in between the ages of 20-24. Upperclassmen, specifically seniors.
