Flier
Description:

A Black and white flier to promote a


graduation conference for seniors who
have a interest in leadership.

Objectives:

Apply all the tools learned from Comm


130 and to use typography appropriate. Incorporate the tools in InDesign
to improve the layout of the flier. Create a file and incorporate the Filer, Logos, Text, while making sure it is all
still connected.

Process:

I first made an outline of what i wanted to create with this flier and then i
created a sketch to help put my ideas
together in InDesign I wanted the
Logo and the title to really stand out
in this flier. This was done by bolding
and underlining the verbiage. I wanted to make sure i left

Description:

A color full-bleed event ad to promote a


fundraiser by only using Microsoft word
and a scanner.

Objectives:

Find and scan a high PPI and import it.


Using word incorporate text.

Insert and edit the image using Microsoft

Process:

I scanned the Christmas image using the


Espon scanner. I was then able to insert
it in Microsoft word and crop it to the desired size. Once this was complete i was
able to add the text and the color scheme i

Imaging
Description:

A personally taken picture that has been edited and formatted using Photoshop.

Objectives:

Learn basic skills for photography.


Use a camera to take a quality picture.
Download and size and crop the image.
Use airbrush to clean up the image.
Crop out footprints and power line pools.

Process:

First i was able to take a photo and then


downloaded it to Photoshop where i resized
and cropped the picture. I was able to crop
out some of the stuff that cluttered the
Picture. I was also able to brighten the image and bring out the strips on the jeep.

Montage
Description:

A inspirational montage that is used by combining 2 or more images that has typography that is
incorporated in the image.

Objectives:

Learn how to manipulate the layers in Photoshop.


Learn how to blend images using masks.
Use filters.
Use appropriate typography.

Process:

I started off by cropping the background picture


to 11 X 8.5 I was then able to incorporate Christ
and use transparency to fade him and mask him
into the background picture. I used the typography to help with the color scheme as well as the
message of the image. Incorporating a scripture
really helped to understand the image more fully.

Objectives:

Create a verity of logos for a company to use.


Use the basic tools of adobe Illustrator

Process:

I used many different tools in illustrator to accomplish the wanted deign I had in mind. First
i sketched out what I especially wanted to do
with the logo. I used the line and ellipse tool to
create the container and the doors of the container. I left a blank spot on the container to
place the company name. I also wanted to line
up the three Es to give it some symmetry.

Process:

I first used the HTML to write all of the directed


text that I wanted in the eb page. I was then able
to place the Logo in to the web page as well. I was
able to use CSS to create the color and the formatting of the web page. Placing in the headers as
well as the back ground color.

Brochure

Objectives:

Created a new logo in InDesign.


Take pictures from web and edit them.
Understand how trifold work.
Organize text and pictures.
Learn hot to use text wrap.

Process:

I first designed the lay out of my trifold using lines and charts to know where i was
going to fold. I then took the entire picture I was going to use in the brochure and
cropped and edited them. I then inserted
all the text and made sure the texts wraps
where correct. I then inserted the Logo and
small green arrows to navigate the brochure.

Business Card

Design consistent layout for letter head
and business card.
Use readable text.

Process:

I first created a new logo using InDesign


that will best fit the company. I then created a color scheme that would help high
light certain aspects of the logo. I then
placed an image and changed the color
scheme of the business card. I was able
to change the font that made it look more
professional. The white and black contrast
gave it a nice look with the red.

what the company does in the top left hand
corner. I also placed all of the information
of the company ion the top right hand of the
cover letter.
