Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
For this field experience I create a one hour instructional technology workshop that focused on
the Google platform. I presented the workshop to first through 12th grade teachers. From this
experience, I learned that technology facilitation requires organization, planning, and research.
That are many facets about being an effective leader. You must be willing to work with ones who
are still learning skills, you must be patient, and you must have different ways to introduce a new
concepts and ideas in a way that others can understand it.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
This learning experience demonstrated knowledge because I can develop and implement
technology based professional learning which aligns to both the state and national professional
learning standards and also integrate technology. I also integrated the technology to include faceto-face and online components, which promotes a best practice and teaching, learning and
assessment.
This learning experience demonstrate skills because I can utilize collaboration tools and digital
communication to communicate both locally and globally with other educators. I was also able to
model and facilitate research-based best practices when designing and developing technology
enhanced learning experiences.
This learning experience demonstrated dispositions because I evaluated and reflected on my
professional practice to not only improve my ability to effectively model and facilitate technologyenhanced learning experiences, but also to strengthen my skills. I used a pre-survey and post
survey before and after the workshop.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
This field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development, and student learning by
providing teachers with the knowledge about a new resource provided to the school system. Both
students and teachers can use Google platform at home and at school to improve their learning.
Faculty members who attended the training now have tools to implement the Google platform
within their classroom and teaching. The impact can be assessed through some pre- and postassessments, surveys, and questionnaires.
