HowhaveIdevelopedthiscompetencyduringthiscourseorprofessionalseminar/fieldexperience?

Although
my time at my host school was during a period of work-to-rule, I still had small opportunities to

partially
develop this competency. I got the chance to participate in school projects, such as the

Christmas
concert. Other student teachers and I could make and paint the Christmas decorations, as well

as
help with dance choreography for the concert. This went on for the duration of my stay, where I would

take
time whenever I could to help the school staff and parent volunteers in order for everything to be

ready
for the concert. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to work with other staff members during their

recess
or lunch duties, which helped me see another aspect of my future career. It was interesting to see

how
the children acted in a setting that was not a classroom. As my stay was short, I did not have the

opportunity
to speak with parents in terms of getting more involved at the school, although I did speak

with
the ones that were volunteers during that time. All things considered, although I tried my best to

cooperate with the school staff, the students and parents, my options were limited due to the work-to-rule

time frame I was in.
