PHILOSOPHY
My classroom is engaging and student centered based on student needs. I believe the
most powerful type of learning is inquiry based and student driven. Students need to
have an interest in what they are learning. This can be accomplished by project based
learning in science and social studies. However, I believe the knowledge that is the
most meaningful is cross-curricular. Therefore, student interest is incorporated into all
subject fields. Students have to be given opportunities to grow socially, physically,
and emotionally throughout each day. The classroom must be a safe environment
where students can express themselves and learn about themselves. I believe that
with this safe environment in place students do their best learning.
