Relevant legislations

When creating my production there a certain legislations I must follow so I dont

breach the law or offend viewers who can press charges against my production.
When creating my music video, one of the biggest legislations is copy right.
Fundamentally, copyright is a law that gives you ownership over the things you
create. Be it a painting, a photograph, a poem or a novel, if you created it, you
own it and its the copyright law itself that assures that ownership. The
ownership that copyright law grants comes with several rights that you, as the
owner, have exclusively. Those rights include:
The right to reproduce the work
To prepare derivative works
To distribute copies
To perform the work
And to display the work publicly
Race discrimination in the workplace occurs if you are treated unfairly in the
workplace because of your race, or because of the race of someone else that you
are associated with (such as a child or a partner). You are protected against race
discrimination in the workplace under the Equality Act 2010. Under the Equality
Act 2010 you must not be discriminated against because of your (or an
associated persons) protected characteristic. Race is a protected
characteristic under the Equality Act 2010 and includes colour, nationality,
national origin, and ethnic origin. Race discrimination is something I need to be
carefully aware of so I dont offend any race when creating my music video. For
example many Muslims are portrayed as terrorist which is why there religion is
very sensitive .during the 1940-1960 black people were segregated from whites
on things such as transport, walking pathways because black people were
treated as slaves until there were many protest from people such as martin
Luther king who made a great protest so black and white people were equal.

Another legislations that I need to look out for is gender discriminations. This is
because another gender may feel out casted by another because there gender
isnt portrayed as the main character in the production. Another reason is that
the gender may be portrayed as the bad person throughout the whole of
production so they might get offended overall. Gender discrimination is also
known as sexism which is very common thing in the real world for jobs, TV cast
and film cast. In the 1920 gender discrimination was really bad during that time.
This is because women were not allowed to vote or get a good job. If women had
a job during this time they would be paid a lot less. During the 50-70 women
protested for rights which came to be very successful. In todays world male and
female are very equal however, this is a legislation that I still need to consider so
I dont offended any genders
