Reflection
What went well, is when I explained the lesson, the children were able to understand how to use column
method, and they understood how to carry out the tens and hundreds.
Also, the explanation on the PowerPoint was really helpful, since it showed how to use the column method,
and when they have to carry the tens / hundreds.
It would be better if I used some props like: blocks or any other objects. So next time, I will bring blocks so
children can use to understand the real object instead of showing pictures and to help them solving the
problems with ease.
What did the children learn? How do I know this?
The children learned how to use the column method for adding 3 digit numbers. Also, they knew when to
carry out the tens / hundreds, some of them already used the mental calculation.
I knew it when I checked each group and assist them, and also when I gave them other question to solve.
