What is an adjective?
Adjectives are words used to describe things.

The job of an adjective is to modify a noun or a pronoun.


Numbers can also be used as adjectives.
Adjectives are important because it can make something go
from ordinary to extraordinary.
When we use adjectives we are able to paint a colorful
picture when we speak or when we write.
Possessive adjectives are used to show possession.
Examples: my, your, his, her, its, our, and their.
Demonstrative adjectives are used to demonstrate or
indicate specific things. Examples are: this, that, these, those.

Indefinite adjectives do not point out specific things.


Examples are: no, any, few, and several.

What is a noun?
A noun is a word used as the name of a person, place or
thing. There are different kinds of nouns.
A proper noun is the name of a particular person or thing. A
proper noun always begins with a capital letter.
A common noun is a name given in common to every
person or thing of the same class or kind.
A collective noun is the name of a collection of persons or
things taken together and spoken of as one whole.
Examples are: jury, committee, class, family, team, nation
etc.
An abstract noun is a noun indicating an idea, quality, or
state rather than a concrete object. Examples are: kindness,
goodness, honesty, bravery, ignorance, wisdom, laughter
etc.
