It is without reservation that I recommend Peyton Oswald to your program. I have had the pleasure of
teaching Ms. Oswald for the academic school years of 2014-2015 in Advanced Placement Environmental Science
and 2015-2016 as her facilitator for Scientific Research. Scientific Research is a course specifically designed for
students who excel in science and have completed all required science course work and electives of interest.
Focus in scientific research includes supporting instruction through lab setups and research for a particular focus
class. Throughout all the time that I have known Peyton, she has been academically competitive and a dynamic
and positive force in the school and local community.
Ms. Oswald challenges herself academically, excelling at advanced placement classes. She has a quick
and deep understanding of science that is mature beyond her years. She consistently works hard to meet
deadlines with complete understanding of content. She is not afraid to ask questions along the way to facilitate
learning. Her academics have been recognized by national academic club membership in Science National Honors
Society and National Technical Honors Society. She advanced to state rounds in HOSA region testing- medical
terminology in 2015. More impressively, Peyton is currently a speech pathology and surgical intern at Northside
Hospital. During her time in speech pathology, Peyton diagnosed a rare stroke in a patient, showing great promise
in the medical field.
But beyond her academic talents, Peyton Oswald is a dynamic and integral member of the school and local
community. She is involved in HOSA where she he held the officer position of Reporter. Her duties include the up
keep of all social media communications and writing chapter spotlights about recent and successful HOSA events.
In her leadership role, Peyton also has organized and led blood drives and fundraisers. She is an active speaker
for her HOSA region and was nominated for the 2015 National Youth Leadership Forum- Advanced medicine and
healthcare.
Peyton Oswald has left a lasting impression on me as a teacher. I have many amazing students come
through my program, but Peyton remains at the top of the pack. Peyton is a quick learner with excellent
communication skills. She tackles challenges with maturity and determination. She will be a true asset to your
school and your program, combining a sincere motivation for knowledge and a passion for improving the world
around her. I highly recommend Peyton Oswald and appreciate your time.
Sincerely,

Dixie Hamilton
