Objective
I am an experienced and accomplished college student looking to test and refine my skills in transportation
planning and geospatial analysis by using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a primary tool. I want
to learn in a real-world environment to improve my knowledge of planning, GIS, and cartography. My goal
is to help the organization succeed and accomplish its goals, as well as pave the way for a future career in
transportation planning.

US National Whitewater Center (USNWC)

Whitewater River Lead (manager)


Responsible for organizing, motivating, and managing over 200 raft guide employees within the
largest whitewater rafting operation in the world.
Build relationships with customers to ensure a quality experience at the organization.
Develop seasonal strategies to ensure the achievement of business goals set by the CEO.
Publicly speak to large groups of customers to communicate necessary safety and directional
information for whitewater trips.
Act as a company liaison in the field and the office to bridge the gap between upper management,
employees, and customers.

Centralina Council of Governments (CCOG)

Regional Planning Intern/GIS Analyst Intern


Work with multiple transportation planning organizations in the region to create a replicable,

consistent, and documented process for developing socio-economic data for use in the Regional
Travel Demand Model.
General support of CCOG high priority projects, including regional water, transportation (regional

freight, transit, and rural transportation), and economic development.


Develop a countywide assessment of health and aging indicators to support the question why we

are focusing on building healthy, lifelong communities.


Support the operation and maintenance of the company GIS application by maintaining, reporting,

Execute development analysis within a spatial analysis model that determines the amount of
available land and infrastructure for future growth and expansion.

Technical Skills

Proficient in working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).


Vast experience working with ESRI ArcGis products, such as ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcView.
Experienced in using Python coding language within GIS applications to automate repetitive tasks.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.).
