Executive Summary
My fellow associates and I examined three different cell phone providers to recommend the best
possible choice for our client Allie. In the end result of our research we will provide Allie with a
service provider which offers her desired phone within the given budget.
The members of our group have a new found knowledge over the given topic due to our
extensive research. Briannah who has years of experience working in sales with a
cellphone/electronic company was able to supply much needed information over the different
companies and helped eliminate multiple other service providers to narrow our search to the top
three companies.
Allies criteria were comprised from her personal preferences and necessities within a phone plan.
The Price is a major factor within choosing a company for her, this being that she only has $500
set aside currently to purchase the phone. The quality of the service needs to be strong so that she
can get a signal in any area. The phone must at least have 64gb so Allie has storage for all of her
photos and music. Lastly there should be a fair pricing on monthly data charges; unlimited data
being preferable. Through comparing our three different service providers, AT&T, T-Mobile and
Verison we were able to rate the companies from best choice to worst based on Allies necessities.
Based on our report we have come to the conclusion that Allies most logical choice for the
64GB or the 128GB IPhone6s is to go through T-Mobile. Which by comparison two the second
best provider Verizon, T-Mobile has a much more affordable data plan.

Selecting and purchasing a carrier for an iPhone 6s in 2016 can be an

overwhelming experience. For the sake of this recommendation report, we
have created a fake online user persona, Allie. Allie is the ideal customer,
mid-twenties, who is in search of a cell phone company that a company has
to offer for the least price. In this study we look at how Allie, who is in search
of a phone service carrier that provides the IPhone 6s should rationalize her
purchase. The following recommendation report breaks down certain criteria
displaying such in a much more logical, cohesive manner.

Criteria

Allie is in search of a carrier for the iPhone 6. Allie currently has $500 set aside to
buy a new phone and likes to have the newest IPhone so she does not like her
contracts to be longer than 2 years.
The following list is the order of importance Allie has placed on certain qualities:
1. Price: The IPhone6s and service provider should price $70-$90 with a
$10.00 grace for those with better data usage and or storage.

2. Service Provider: The service provider chosen should have excellent

service in the DFW metroplex.
*Allie asks that we not recommend Sprint due to bad experiences with
this service provider in the past.

3. Storage: Due to the large music and photo collection, we discard the 16g
version of the IPhone6s in this report. Our report assesses 64GB/ 128GB
iPhones only,.

4. Data: 5GB+ of 4g per month optimal, unlimited data not required but
preferred.

Options
With Allies criteria, we found three service providers, AT&T, T-Mobile,
and Verizon. AT&T (refer to table 2) is the best option for a person who does
not have any money saved to

begin a cell phone contract. AT&T uses a no money down approach and
allows 5GB per month per line. With AT&T, customers can also upgrade cell
phones once per year; however, customers are bound to a three-year
contract. AT&T falls short with its price in the long run and limited amount of
data.

T-Mobile, A good option for those who have money already set aside,
requires clients to buy their iPhone 6s prior to beginning their plan. The 64
GB iPhone 6s, currently priced at $750.00, is well within Allies budget,
paired with T-Mobile Allie would pay much less in the long term than
compared to any other carrier (refer to Table 3). When asked by friends who
have T-Mobile as their carrier, T-Mobiles coverage in the DFW Area has
gotten the second highest ranking behind that of AT&T.

Verizon was the last cell phone provider that we viewed (Table 4). A plan with
Verizon does require that clients pre- purchase their cell phones before
signing up to use their carrier. This having been said, Verizon is by far the
most expensive cell phone provider with the least amount of data useage for
its for the most expensive price. The Place where Verizon wins is

Analysis
Between AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, we chose to overlook coverage
because all of the phone carriers had outstanding quality ratings by our
peers. The main things that differentiate the three phone service providers
were price at time of purchase, GB capacity, and data usage. AT&Ts no
money down with AT&T Next makes it very affordable to quickly obtain a
new phone at a semi-inexpensive price. T-Mobiles prices the best in
correlation with data usage. Verizons stronghold, coverage, shows in their
prices. Verizon had the least amount of data coverage per price. T-Mobile and
Verizon require the IPhone6s paid in full, a $250.00-$350.00 over budget that
pays off with a lack of cancelation fees and cheaper cellular data.

Recommendations
We Recommend Allie to choice either the 64GB or the 128GB IPhone6s through TMobile because of their data to price ratio in comparison with that of its lead
competition, Verizon. Although Verizon has the best cell coverage (Allies second
priority), Verizons prices were not the best (Allies first priority). AT&T would be a
good short-term option if there was not any pre-saved income for the expense of
this IPhone, however, Allie having $500.00 saved for a phone already, AT&T is an
illogical long term financial commitment.
