To Mr. Judge:
My name is Tyler Valliere. Michael Mosher recommended that I apply for the open summer
intern position. I feel I would be a great fit for CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. I believe diversity in a
company is very important and Im eager to bring forth new ideas and view points. I would
consider myself a dedicated worker that is very open-minded and approachable.
I have been a student at Salem State University for three years now. I am making the most out of
my time here and submerging myself in all the school has to offer. I currently maintain two jobs
on campus and am a member of the accounting association. I am enrolled in 6 classes this
semester. I am a very busy individual that has learned to juggle the demands of school, work and
personal needs. I pride myself on being organized and prepared. I am also very good at allocating
my time in order to meet deadlines. I understand that CLA offers many different professional
services, specifically Audit, Tax and Consulting and all the subdivisions within these services. I
feel being part of this company would give me the opportunity to pick a career path that I will
feel passionate about. This will give me the motivation I need while allowing me to grow within
the firm.
I previously worked at a local retail store in my home town, Salisbury MA, for four years. While
working in retail I learned some of the basic necessities that all businesses strive on. I developed
a good understanding of what customer service consists of and how to connect with the
customers. Also, I would say that working retail has made me better at adapting to change and
being more flexible. If a new task presented itself or there was a change in the staffing,
management would utilize me to fill the position temporarily. I adjusted easily and learned the
new role(s) and responsibilities quickly. I can honestly say after having multiple job roles and
responsibilities that I achieved a great sense of business ethics and knowledge of how to be an
exemplary employee.
In review, I am an open-minded, dedicated employee with great time management skills that can
adapt quickly and make necessary adjustments when needed. I enjoy studying the accounting
field but I am looking forward to taking the next step. I want to utilize the skills I have learned in
an educational setting and apply these to a professional setting, specifically in
CliftonLarsonAllen.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Tyler Valliere
