REMOTE RADIO HEAD
Twin RRH
Two types of specific dual PA RRH available, depending on band requirements, used in MIMO case but also in multi
standard cases (GSM+UMTS, GSM+LTE).
Twin RRH for 2100 MHz band, intended for UMTS/LTE technology, will support by default MIMO (2xTx and 2xRx).
Similar to a single PA RRH, it has two antenna connectors.
However, in the Twin case, each connector is capable for Tx and Rx simultaneously.
Twin RRH is covered by a dedicated MOPG

MC-RRH
MC-RRH module dual PA available in 900/1800 MHz band variant, intended for GSM/UMTS/LTE technology, will support by
default MIMO for UMTS and LTE(2xTx and 2xRx).
It offer two antenna connectors, each connector is capable for Tx and Rx simultaneously.
One single sector supported.
MC-RRH module is based on multi carrier power amplifier (SDR) technology, using a single Power Amplifier for several
carriers.
MC-RRH can run in two operating modes:
Mono-standard MC-RRH mode, running in a single RAT: either GSM, or UMTS or LTE.
Multi-standard MC-RRH mode, allows operating simultaneously GSM and 3G; or GSM and LTE band, with one technology
per one power amplifier output, e.g. GSM on PA1 + UMTS on PA2; or GSM on PA1+ LTE on PA2.
MC-RRH is covered by a dedicated MOPG

RRH power cable from lightRadio cabinet

The lightRadio outdoor cabinet is able to power up the RRHs. These cables must be order in this case.

REMOTE MC-TRX
The aim of the feature remote MC-TRX, already available in the 9100 Multistandard cabinet is to connect to a WCDMA
BBU (D2U or D4U) hosting inside the lightRadio cabinet the MC-TRX modules in 3G or MSR mode, installed inside a 2G
cabinet.

In this configuration, the connection between the WCDMA digital controller and the MC-TRX is made with optical fibres.
SFP modules have to be installed on each side of the fibre and connected to the MCTRX and to the WCDMA digital
controller.
One of the key point of this configuration is the number of cable glands available on the bulkhead interface of the
lightRadio cabinet.
Assuming that 3 fibres are required to support a 3 sector configuration with one MCTRX per sector, before proposing a
such configuration, you must ensure, there is the relevant number of cable glands on the bulkhead of each cabinet.
The number of cable glands available on the lightRadio cabinet is dependent of the following factors:
The Cabinet configuration type has an impact on the bulkhead type (macro or digital bulkheads).
As an example, Conf#7W (digital cabinet) allows up to 18 fibers on the three cable glands of the bulkhead, ;
Conf #6 (Macro cabinet), allows up to 6 fibers on the six cable glands of the bulkhead.
The number of optical fibers already used for the backhaul interface of the digital controllers (2G/3G/4G)
The number of optical fibers already used for the RRH connection.

Rectifier shelf for LightRadio Indoor AC variant (for future)
The LightRadio Indoor cabinet can be powered by AC or DC external power source.
For the AC version of the LightRadio Indoor cabinet, rectifiers are required.
The rectifier shelf is a 2U rack mountable unit that can provide up to 6000 W using N+1 redundancy.
The rectifier shelf requires 230 VAC 50/60 Hz power input, single or 3 phase connection.
Output power is at -48VDC.
A single rectifier shelf per indoor LightRadio cabinet is allowed.

Cooling
The Indoor lightRadio Cabinet uses a convectional cooling system with the installed equipment pushing air in any needed
direction.
The overall cabinet airflow is from bottom to top.
To this effect the Indoor lightRadio Cabinet will use a mid-mount approach
meaning the equipment mounting ears will be in the middle (front to back)
of the equipment.
In the Indoor lightRadio Cabinets the digital equipment will be installed
to create a right to left airflow.
Legacy RF equipment will be installed to generate a bottom to top airflow.
The MCTRDUs will have front to back airflow.
In some case a top fan may be required for medium or large configurations
which include many RF components.
