Photography The art of taking and processing photographs.
- began with the Daguerreotype, which involved a copper
plate being exposed to vapor, light, then an image is
created on the copper plate (1839)
- photography was limited to the professionals until George
Eastman creates a company called Kodak (1880). People
could now use a flexible film and camera that was
inexpensive
- digital cameras and photography came-on to the scene in
the early 90s in which the camera could store images
electronically
Dialogue in photography, dialogue relates to the relationship
between photographers, subjects, and the audience
Stage fright is the anxiety, fear, or persistent phobia which may
be aroused in an individual by the requirement to perform in front
of an audience, whether actually or potentially. (definition
provided by Wikipedia)
Natural lighting is just as the name implies, natural. Natural
lighting is the use of a natural light source (the sun) as a means to
illuminate the subject of a photograph
Artificial lighting is the use of artificial light sources such as
lamps, light fixtures, etc. as a means to illuminate the subject of a
photograph

Instructions for the Studio Investigation of Portrait Photography

Natural light!
1) First things first, location, location, location.
Create viewfinder (remember from drawing and painting) to find your shot
Take into account the backgrounds tone and how the subject will stand out
Take into account the light, use the light to inform your work, dont overlook the meaning
that it gives
2) Start the dialogue, use the provided prompts, they will help
3) shoot shoot shoot, and direct your subject to do new things.
