The Conference
The Faculty of Nursing Sciences at Universit Laval, Quebec City, Canada and the unit for Philosophical
Nursing Research (uPNR), University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, in association with the International
Philosophy of Nursing Society (IPONS), are pleased to announce a distinctive conference that brings
together - for the first time - the 20th Annual International Philosophy of Nursing Conference and
the 12th Philosophy in the Nurses World Conference in a unique joint event that will provide
opportunities for discussing the past and current state as well as future contributions of philosophy and
critical theory to the discipline and practice of nursing.
